Dear adventure film lover, outdoor enthusiast, film maker and friends.
We've made the decision to press pause on the Irish Adventure Film Festival and the monthly Adventure Film Club till 2023.
As I write this, in Nov 2021, Ireland is entering into a fourth wave of COVID. While I don’t believe the restrictions will be as severe as before, it non the less makes planning any event, large or small, unpredictable. And difficult. Which is minus craic.
What does this mean for the festival? Is this goodbye?
Certainly not. Don’t be so dramatic :)
It’s just a pause. Before we continue the next chapter in the festivals story.
Thank you SO MUCH to all of our fans who have traveled from far and wide the past eight years to attend the festival. Especially those that have been with us from the start.
Thank you to the film-makers, who number nearly one thousand, who have submitted films to us over the years.
You are all the reason we run this festival.

It's an adventure sports documentary film festival that screens films from around the globe. Many of the films are award-winning.
What to expect? Expect to laugh. You might cry (that happens). Whether you laugh or cry, we can guarantee one thing. You'll come away from the films uplifted.
Our aim is to inspire you to undertake your own adventure. No matter how small. You're a long time dead. Our lives are too short not to live them. Don't you think?
